When you see “DS” on a Club Car vehicle, it refers to a man called Dom Saporito (D.S.), who was a prominent golf car designer at Club Car during the 1980s. He was heavily involved in the design and creation of the DS model and was thus honored by Club Car, who decided to name the new vehicle after him, using his initials. The DS was and continues to be one of the standards in the golf car industry with its innovative design, reliability, and enormous popularity.
